This blog began as a way to share my journey as an author, but it has grown into so much more. Like a hand-sewn atkohp (ᐊᑦᑯᐦᑊ, star) blanket, it weaves together storytelling, culture, and truths—some comforting, others challenging. Rooted in creativity, resilience, and my Plains Cree heritage, this space reflects my spirit and the many layers of life that shape my writing.
What Awaits You Inside:
This blog is a journey—ever-growing and evolving, like all living things born from kahkiyaw askiy (ᑲᐦᑭᔭᐤ ᐊᐢᑭᐩ, all the land). Some pages are still under construction (because great ideas take time to flourish). Writing under a pen name allows me to share deeply while keeping certain details private. This also means images are AI generated and the one’s that are not I will not officially claim. My drawing and painting style is to recognizable. Beyond minor changes, every word reflects who I am in character, spirit, and personality.
So, slip on your makasinan (ᒪᑲᓯᓇᐣ, moccasins), bring your curiosity, and step into a world where stories build bridges, laughter is welcome, and the spirit of maskihkiy (ᒪᐢᑭᐦᑮᐩ, medicine) carries us forward.
