Tawâw—come in, you’re welcome here; there’s room.
This is a space where stories and voices intertwine, where creativity and truth find a home. My name is Siearra Frost—a storyteller, a dreamer, and someone who believes in the power of words to connect us all. While this is my chosen name, a pseudonym, it holds a piece of me, allowing me the freedom to speak my truth while keeping a part of my personal life tucked away, safe from the curious gazes of those who may not understand.
A Space for Creativity
This blog is a reflection of my journey as a fiction author, and as such, you’ll find first drafts of my novels here—raw, imperfect, and brimming with possibility. Alongside them, I’ll share poems that capture moments of wonder, struggle, and growth. This space is a haven for creativity—a place to spark inspiration, challenge norms, and celebrate the art of storytelling.
I invite you to share your own creative work: fictional stories that transport us to new worlds, poems that echo with emotion, and perspectives that stretch the imagination.
A Space for Truth
This is also a space for truth—a platform for real-life stories that need to be told. When we witness imbalances, injustices, or moments of hope, sharing these experiences challenges silence and empowers change. It ensures no voice is ignored, and no story is silenced. I invite you to use this space to speak up, share your reality, and help illuminate the cracks in our world that need healing.
Your truth matters here. Use this space to speak up and share your voice. You can submit directly to me should you wish to remain anonymous.
Personal Reflection
One truth I hold dear is this: words are powerful. They help us understand not only ourselves but also the world around us. Words illuminate truths, even those we may have ignored for too long. As someone who is Plains Cree, I carry with me a deep respect for the connections that bind us all—each story, each voice, each life.
I think about #215—a moment that should never have been necessary to bring to light. For years, survivors and their families shared their truths, and yet as a society, we did nothing. Our silence made us complicit in that pain, and this realization fuels my passion to speak up and amplify the voices that need to be heard. I no longer wish to be silent or complicit in the face of injustice. For I to was complicit as well by not speaking up and letting fear control my strongest tool. My voice. No longer will I let my voice be controlled and my hope is you will do the same.
So, I invite you to share—your stories, your poems, your voice. This space is for speaking up, for celebrating creativity, and for creating something meaningful mâmawi (together). Tawâw. Thank you for being here. Your story matters.
