Radical Acceptance and Chronic Migraines: My Journey and Linda’s Insightful Take

I’ve always had this approach to life—win the war, even if it means calling a retreat in certain battles. It’s something I pair with my own “Identify, Adapt, Overcome” mindset. Reading Linda’s post about radical acceptance really resonated with me.

I had one of those moments where things clicked, and I realized: there’s actually a name for this way of thinking. Linda expresses it so much better than I ever have, and her insights felt like they were speaking right to me.

Chronic migraines are one of the hardest battles to face. Living with chronic pain is brutal no matter what form it takes, but what makes it even harder is when you’ve learned to accept it and keep going—and then, during those unbearable moments when you need extra support, doctors might not take you seriously because you seem like you’ve got it “under control.” I’ve felt this frustration time and again. Yet Linda’s discussion on radical acceptance really shines a light on all the positives of acceptance which makes this part a bit easier to manage.

And then there are the links Linda shared—they’re absolutely amazing. My brain lit up with excitement going through them because I’m a sucker for learning. They made me feel like I was adding to my toolbox for navigating life with chronic migraines.

If you deal with chronic migraines or other forms of pain, I can’t recommend Linda enough. She’s the kind of writer who gets you thinking about things on a deeper level and offers insights that help you through the struggles of migraine hell. Take a moment to check out her blog, and let me know what you think!

I would love to hear from you!
