Welcome to My Brain: Buckle Up or Bail Out

Daily writing prompt
What topics do you like to discuss?

Hi there, adventurous reader! Before you step into my mind, let me warn you—this isn’t your average blog. My brain isn’t about straight lines or smooth sailing. Nope, it’s more like an ADHD-powered merry-go-round with surprise detours, sudden stops, and an alarming tendency to jump tracks. One moment we’ll be marveling at beadwork, the next we’re off to discuss motorcycles, baby snakes, and coffee beans. And don’t be surprised if we loop back to the weather halfway through—it’s just how I roll. So buckle up, grab a snack (maybe some tea or coffee beans for inspiration?), and let’s dive headfirst into the chaos!

A Spicy Noodle Start—The Baby Snakes Are Back

Let’s kick off with baby snakes because, honestly, who wouldn’t want to talk about tiny spicy noodles with scales? Have I mentioned how obsessed I am with Snake Discovery on YouTube? Their genetics episodes? Chef’s kiss. Baby snakes are equal parts adorable and fascinating, and I could watch them all day. But wait—a motorbike just roared down my street. Now I’m picturing my dream ride: matte black tank with a vivid blue medicine wheel. The bear claws tearing up the black to reveal a starry night scene—oh, and wolves running across the plains, led by a striking white alpha. It’s basically a rolling masterpiece! And just like that, I’m picturing myself pulling up at Tim Hortons, coffee in hand, admiring other bikes. But hold on… tea enters the picture.

Coffee Beans, Tea Leaves, and the Perils of Steeping Decisions

Let’s shift gears to tea, which, if you ask me, is superior to coffee in flavor and health benefits. Loose-leaf tea has won my heart, but steeping it isn’t as simple as it sounds. Fabric bags or metal steepers? Cue a five-minute internal debate about the pros and cons of each, which will inevitably lead to me backtracking to coffee beans and their roasting process. And somehow, we’ll end up in a meadow gathering seasonal medicines. Time to pull that bike over in a meadow, offer tobacco in thanks, and share a laugh about the chaos of it all.

Beadwork to Bikes to Baby Animals: A Perfect Cycle

Have I mentioned beadwork? Beadwork is an art, a meditation, and a connection to my Plains Cree heritage all rolled into one. But beadwork can quickly lead me to motorcycles because, obviously, sewing intricate patterns makes me daydream about sewing my dream bike into reality. From bikes, it’s a hop, skip, and slither back to baby snakes—and suddenly I’m chatting about baby animals of all kinds. Did you know baby porcupines are called porcupettes? They’re like spiky little marshmallows! And somehow, we’re back to beadwork, because my brain has its own version of GPS: Chaotic Passion System™.

The Weather (Yes, Really)—And Back We Go

Oh, speaking of beadwork, did I mention it’s raining outside? See, this is what happens—weather sneaks into every conversation. But you know what pairs perfectly with rainy days? Tea, beadwork, and cuddling up with snake videos. Or maybe motorbike videos. Or maybe starting a new drawing with different mediums because my art corner is calling. And that inevitably loops me back to a certain memory about green tea versus coffee, which leads back to bikes, and wait, weren’t we just talking about baby snakes?

Why Chaos Is My Superpower

This is the beauty of living in my world—conversations are less “what’s next?” and more “hold on, where are we now?” For some people, it’s confusing. For others (hello, fellow ADHD adventurers!), it feels like home. If you made it this far without stopping to check what we were discussing ten minutes ago, then congratulations—you’re officially part of my chaos-loving crew.

But now I’m curious… what’s your chaos? Do you dive into conversations about everything from motorcycles to tea leaves? Maybe you’ve got your own quirky thought-jumping style. Share your favorite topics or your wildest conversation loops in the comments—let’s make this adventure a group effort

Oh and I don’t like snakes, but I love tea. Your image is a great way to express my thoughts and the importance of mindfulness.

i didn’t like snakes either until the baby noodles lol and mindfulness is so very important. As for tea I don’t get why some don’t like it when it is so unique and can be personalized. I have converted many of my friends over to this side of thinking.
